Their special guest is sommelier, winemaker and designer, Andre’ Mack. This man has literally done everything. From a desk job at Citibank to being a sommelier at the French Laundry in Napa then to opening Per Se in New York City with Thomas Keller to winemaker in Oregon with his own Maison Noir Wines and then business owner and author. He talks about finding his passion in wine and how that has led him on so many amazing journeys including writing his part- memoir, part-wine-guide “99 Bottles: A Black Sheep’s Guide to Life-Changing Wines.” Now he and his wife have have started & Sons Hospitality Group in their neighborhood in Brooklyn which includes & Sons Ham Bar that celebrates the culture, heritage, and flavor of America’s charcuterie , & Sons Buttery their family-run neighborhood cheese and provisions shop, specializing in sustainably-produced ingredients and a boutique wine shop down the street, VyneYard, that provides a selection of wines proudly curated by André that offers character at all price points. Plus they have a breakfast taco restaurant, Mockingbird Taco, that offers memories of the tacos Andre' ate growing up in San Antonio, Chickadee Bread and they are about to open a oyster bar called King Fisher!
